Any new leather item has a special leather odour which is very common and natural. However, if the smell is too much for
you, you can put a small sachet of lavender petals or any other kind of aromatic herb into the bag for a few days, reducing the odour.
To store your bag, put its dust bag cover or use any other natural fiber bag. Do not use a plastic bag as the
leather needs to breath.
To clean the leather when dirty, simply wipe it with a soft damp cloth.
Ink marks, grease and oil stains are unfortunately not removable and should be left alone.
If you find loose threads do not pull them, just cut the threads with scissors.
Some customers use Scotchgard Fabric Protector on the fabric area of the bag to protect it from water or
stains. The product is quite effective (though you have to apply it very carefully and covering the non fabric areas to avoid ruining them), but you might want look for more info about
this chemical product before using it. This blog is a good resource to do it.
